Innsbruck is located in the Austrian Alps, and is fairly easy to reach via train.
I recommend flying into Vienna, Munich, or Zurich, and then taking the train up to Innsbruck.
The main train station in Innsbruck is Hauptbahnhof Innsbruck and from there it’s only a quick 10-15 minute walk to the city center. The train station also has lockers available to store your luggage.

Walk down Maria Theresa Street and make sure to catch sight of the famous Golden Roof (Goldenes Dachl) at the end of the street. It was built around 1500 by Emperor Maximilian 1, and since then has become the symbol of Innsbruck.
